Pet Service Coordinator

Job Summary

The goal of the Pet Service Coordinator is to provide respectful and compassionate pet cremation services. You must enjoy working with people and be comfortable caring for deceased pets and pet remains. This position requires a trustworthy and caring professional able to work independently and as a member of a team, carrying out routine and assigned duties with limited supervision.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

  1. Demonstrate Core Values of Excellence, Trust, Care and Growth in performing all aspects of the position.
  2. Maintain a positive work environment by behaving and communicating professionally in all interactions.
  3. Interact with the public and representatives from veterinary clinics in a respectful, trustworthy, and compassionate manner for the purpose of arranging for, transporting, and providing end of life pet cremation services.
  4. Develop and maintain trusting relationships with veterinarians, vet hospitals/clinics and their employees.
  5. Provide courteous and dignified pickup and delivery service on a regular/weekly basis for deceased pets for our veterinary practice clients.
  6. Operate the crematory in accordance with Wyoming laws and company policy.
  7. Prepare and package cremated pet remains with care and dignity for return to their families.
  8. Use necessary technology to maintain cremation, operations, and equipment.
  9. Strong customer service, communication, and organizational skills.
  10. Assist in ensuring offices are well kept and organized for families requiring our service.
  11. Remain up to date on company learning, policies, and procedures as assigned.
  12. All other duties as assigned.

Educational and Skill Requirements

  • High school education or GED
  • No supervisory responsibilities
  • Ability to stay standing or active during entire shift. Must be able to lift 75Lbs. Work performed both in and out of shelter requires physical lifting, bending, pushing and other strenuous activities.
  • Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with others
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
