Groundbreaking for Topeka, KS Cremation Garden

Memorial Park Cemetery, located in Topeka, Kansas, is Newcomer’s original cemetery property. Opened in 1906, it consists of 60 acres of beautiful memorial gardens, and includes a large community mausoleum and several columbarium. As Topeka families continue to choose cremation in increasing numbers, the Newcomer’s saw an opportunity to create more choices for memorialization at Memorial Park.

This month, we broke ground on a large Cremation Garden in the center of the cemetery. It will contain over a dozen different types of inurnment opportunities, two niche cabinets and a community ossuary, along with a large sculpture and numerous plantings.

Construction of the Cremation Garden will continue throughout the year.
