Health Care
The region is flush with excellent health-care providers and a broad, sophisticated network of professionals and organizations offering everything from primary and emergency care to preventive maintenance and high-tech procedures.

One of the Lake Wylie’s greatest assets is the River Hills Emergency Squad, an all-volunteer squad with paramedics, two ambulances and an emergency paramedic vehicle that responds to emergencies free of charge within a 10-mile radius of River Hills. Its headquarters is just outside River Hills’ security gate.

The proximity of the emergency squad to most residents in Lake Wylie allows medical staff to reach patients quickly. Founded in 1980, the organization is funded almost entirely through donations from community members.
